DO NOT USE!!! Their attitude is a typical “hide behind the small print†but take your money anyway approach.
We had our Cross Lab insured with RSPCA when she reached about ten years old. For a few years everything was fine but age eventually got the better of her and after complications with her spine we were advised by the vet to have her put to sleep. The vet , aware we had RSPCA insurance, prepared the paperwork for us, which we dully submitted thinking all was fine.
But no…
“We don't insure dogs over ten!†was the response. No matter who we ring, same answer, and our letters have not been replied to. Totally disgusted, and will never use them again.
I have regular repeat claims and never, without getting really shirty with them, have I received payment within less than 2 months. Also many many many lost claim forms which need to be resubmitted. Despite repeated promises from Axa who underwrite the policy the delays have continued for the past three years so they obviously have no intention of improving the service deswpite the empty promises.
Digusting service. My cat had to have an op 2 months after we adopted her. This was back in August we have still received nothing. I should of stuck to Pet Plan who have been fantastic. They have used delaying tactics and the worst thing is you can never get through to anyone which is bizarre for an insurance company. I am going to go to the ombudsman to complain as I am getting nowhere with this company. The RSPCA should not be recommending people take out this cover it is a nightmare.
