Have had a policy for a number of years. Never quibbled when a claim has been made. Helpful and friendly call centre. Unfortunately they dont do a discount if you have more than one animal. Good value for money.
Esay to set up when i first got my puppy. However our puupy died aged 11 months and two months on our claim has still not been finalised. They initially sent my docuemtns back as they wanted a 12 month history from the vet which has now been sent but when I phoned them to check that they had all the documentation they advised me that they are 3 week behind processing the paperwork so cannot even confirm that they have received the claims form etc. The stress of trafically losing a beloved pet is bad enough without this hassle!! Although their prices are reasonable their failure to properly administer claims makes this a false economy as an insurance company is only as good as its claims procedure.
Had no trouble setting up insurance & kept it for another year. However problems started when I had to make a claim. My Dog had an operation at beginning of April & treatment was comlete by end of April. My claim still has not been settled – it’s 27th June. I have been given the excuse that my vet did not send the clinical history with the claim – I discovered that he had but it had got separated when it arrived at the PDSA. Everything had to be sent again. I now have to find the cash to settle my credit card bill because PDSA lost the original claim. Very inefficient. I will not be renewing the policy because as yet I have had no apology for the mess PDSA have made. I could not give a rating because I haven’t even been told how much I’m likely to get in settlement.
Seems that these guys are in trouble, can’t get through by phone and when you do you are promised a call back but no one does. My thoughts – cancel premium payments and go elsewhere, guess they are going belly up. They actual score no stars
Very quick to set up the pollicy & take your money.
I’ve just had to make a claim after our cat was diagnosed FELV & eventually had to be PTS. Can’t get through on phone, when they say they will phone back they don’t finally got an email saying they didn’t get the 12 month history even though the vet’s showed me proof they did. The vet resent the 12 month history by fax, now they can’t process the claim because they sent the claim form back to me which i never received. So now i’ve got to put a fresh claim in. I would never insure with them again.
