Greenbee pet insurance provides true lifetime cover for cats and dogs with up to £7,000 in vet fees per year each year. Pets can be protected from just 8 weeks old with no upper age limit and dogs can also enjoy a huge £2,000,000 third party liability cover.

AVOID AVOID AVOID. I switched to GreenBee last year after my premiums with M&S became too expensive. I insured 2 dogs and 2 cats with them and had to claim on 1 dog and 1 cat over the course of the year. However, because I am a vet nurse and get staff discount the amounts claimed were low. I was shocked when the renewal quote arrived last month – they are putting my premiums up by 78%! Their ‘justification’ followed by a refusal to review my premiums was that they didn’t put there premiums up in line with veterinary inflation last year which currently runs at 12% p.a. Even if this were the case that only accounts for 24% of the hike. They got my business last year under false pretences, hooked me with a cheap quote then stung me this year. I am of course now in a lose-lose situation because to change insurers means that 2 of my pets will have pre-existing conditions but I can’t afford the newly massively inflated premiums. Thanks a bunch Green Bee / John Lewis.
I concur with Jo Ireson’s review: AVOID. I experienced a very similar scenario when I changed to Greenbee from Direct Line two years ago when we took over the care of the dog as the cost/cover was favourable and I believed that the John Lewis association would be trustworthy. Ha! I made one claim (for around £500) in the first year and the premium went up by around 80% the following year and has now just gone up again ie it’s almost doubled in two years….
